About the Photographer
My name is Jenni Riggs and I was born and raised in Colorado. I moved a lot when I was young, so I've had the privilege of living all over mountainous Colorado. I have always had a love for the photographic arts and I have been photographing the world around me since I was a little girl. My first camera was a Fisher Price camera and I loved everything about it; of course I have upgraded my camera equipment since then.
I went to the University of Northern Colorado for two years for Psychology before realizing my passion wasn't in Psychology. I wanted to start a career in something I have a passion for, so I decided it was time to go to school for photography. I earned my degree from the Professional Career Development Institute in June of 2006 and I am currently enrolled in the New York Institute of Photography. I enjoyed every aspect of school, and now I'm happy to combine my training and innate talent to take amazing photographs. My goal is to create a strong business where I can share my work with everyone. I am very happy to show my passion in each photograph I take and I hope you can see that within my work.
In my spare time I enjoy hiking, camping and spending time with animals. I have two dogs of my own, an Alaskan Malamute named Kobe and an Alaskan Malamute/Bernese Mountain Dog mix named Kenai. They are both named after places in Alaska, a place I hope to visit soon. I also have a cat named Taka, but unfortunately he doesn't get to travel with me as much as my dogs do. I am always looking for new and exciting things to photograph.
My most recent work includes venues such as: Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. I also love to travel to nearby spots in Colorado. I am grateful to live in a beautiful state where I can capture the beautiful surroundings.
